Easy-to-use, it features two large eyepieces, eliminating the need to close one eye, and an LED light to enhance the clarity of the image. Using GeoSafari Jr. My First Microscope
Install three AAA batteries as shown on page 4 in this guide. Place an object on the specimen tray. Switch on the light. Show your child how to look through the eyepieces and turn the focusing knob. Encourage them to find different items and examine them under the microscope. Some interesting things to observe include: toys, money, leaves, cloth, paper, and food. Ask your child to tell you how the item looks different under the microscope and what details he or she notices. Have paper and pencils available for your child to draw how the item looks both with and without the microscope.

Arrived broken twice
This product arrived broken twice. The microscope isn't protected in the cardboard packaging so I assume it breaks as it rolls around in transit. Excellent customer service sent replacements, and then gave a full refund when we asked. We then bought the same product from Amazon (after trying to avoid buying there) and it arrived unbroken in protected packaging.

Very sturdy and designed for small fingers .We bought this for our grandson who is four ,as a stepping stone to a more expensive one as he got older and if he showed an interest.He knew exactly how to operate it as it is simplified for small people.He now examines everything he brings inside from outdoors ,grubs ,worms and seed heads etc.Just what we wanted .

I would have returned this item had the box and invoice not been accidentally thrown away. It's not very good at all in fact the magnifying glass my granddaughter has is much better, all in all for the money very disappointing

Was disappointed with the product it is not as robust as I thought it would be. I have been unable to insert the batteries as I haven’t the right tool to undo the very small screw to access the battery compartment all very frustrating.
