This 20-second handwashing timer from Learning Resources is so useful! We've had it for a couple of years now, since our wee fellow first started toilet-training, to help him learn how to wash his hands properly. It also makes hand-washing more fun for little ones, so he does it with independence and enthusiasm :) Watch out though - it's not waterproof (and has some ventilation gaps in the casing underneath), so keep it somewhere dry
