Each player or team has 10 blocks, 1 of each design. The aim of the game is to replicate the image on a card, using the different blocks, but beware - some cards are harder than others!
To making this even more interesting and challenging, one person can instead describe the pictures, giving the other players only verbal clues to make each structure. This is hard, but great fun! There are also follow-up questions on the cards to help improve spatial and critical thinking.

United KingdomGreat for all ages
As soon as this came out of the box, the 3 year old and 6 year old loved it. The 3 year old was able to identify the colors of each block and then build with them and knock them down. The 6 year old was excited for the challenge cards. They also were building their own creations and having a great time.
Mental Blox
I thought that Mental Blox seemed an interesting game for young children of varying ages. I bought it as a birthday gift for an exceptionally bright, linguistically talented 3 year old and I am sure she will be able to get some fun from it in her own way. Later on all the cards and more structured activities will no doubt come into play. If nothing else she may have fun talking about the blocks and using them to build structures for now.

I enjoy using logic/problem solving puzzles with children and bought this because it looked a bit different to others I have. It has not disappointed! Have used with children aged 7-11 and all have enjoyed it. I like the fact it develops 3D skills and also the suggested challenge on each card which is useful for extending more able thinkers.
