So to begin you need make your volcano using the plaster powder and special mould. Then, using the paints provided, add colour, texture and lava flows to make your volcano as realistic as possible. Then finally you can learn how to make your volcano erupt using baking soda and vinegar. And with this model eruptions can be made over and over again!

It was great fun overall but a big problem with the products is that even with the rubber band the plaster leaks out of the container so our volcano lost about 1/3 of its size. Our daughter still had fun making and painting it. We are yet to create the lava.

When this arrived I was a bit surprised as expected a different box but thought should do the same thing so opened it, made the mould and plaster paste. Left it to dry and painted it the next day. I’m not artist but the patterns on the picture of the box and the patterns on the mould were very different so even harder to achieve the desired effect. We’ve not made the lava yet so can’t comment on how well that pet of it works. But I really wanted to show a photo of the end result which is an accurate outcome from this kit. The photo of volcano on its own on the website actually looks like a plastic toy... which is not what you receive.
